Day three of travel was rather long. I can honestly say that I never expected to take so many potty breaks. When we'd stop, we'd have everyone go in and try, but 30 more miles down the road and someone would have to go again. The picture below is at a rest area. Brodie and the kids ran to the dumpster and back a couple of times to burn some energy.
Finally we made it to Grandma and Grandpa's. They usually come home in early April, but decided to stay when they heard we were headed south. The older three got to spend the night with them in their Florida house. (They were in great anticipation to see what their Florida house looked like. Carlyn had told the boys that she was sure it was really cool, because all houses in Florida are cool!) Here Masyn is enjoying rolling around. She had been cooped up in the car seat for 2 1/2 days. She loved every minute of it!
Day 4 was spent at Grandma and Grandpa's. This was a special day because it was Grandpa's birthday! We got to enjoy the pool in their park and celebrated with Grandma's chicken and noodles and birthday cake.
On the way to our hotel this night, we had our next "incident." We were stopped at a red light and Brodie glanced at the car next to him. He quickly turned away with an "Oh Geez!" Next to us were a couple, probably in their mid-forties. Their windows were down and the radio was blaring. The "lady" was really dancing to the beat and obviously very intoxicated. Oh, and obviously top-less. Well, she caught Brodie when he glanced at her and hollared to him. Carlyn thought it was so funny so she wrote it down:
"A girl said, "I love you baby!" "Hi baby" to dad. She was wild!"
Poor Brodie! He was so embarrassed! His face turned bright red...she gave us all a good laugh. Something like that would only happen to us.
