Carlyn got a Cubs vs. Cardinals ticket for her birthday, with the game being on her actual birthday. (Brodie and I and my brother and sister in law got a ticket too! Wahoo!) Here is the birthday girl...notice she is not anywhere near the balcony rail. She isn't usually scared of heights but on this particular day, she wasn't going to get anywhere close.
I can't even begin to state how wonderful it was to sit in the shade. It was a 105* day...again, but we.were.in.the.shade!
Nana had Happy Birthday Carlyn put up in the big screen...
The kids had dippin dots and cotton candy...someones sweet little brother made her a birthday cake out of cotton candy...awww!
Still not any closer to the railing...
It was fun to all celebrate together...we all even squeezed into the burb together.
