Our little girl turned 8 a few weeks ago. 8!?! She started to plan her 8th birthday soon after her 7th birthday. Being the avid Cubs fan she is, she knew that she wanted a Cubs party. So that's what she had. Thanks to Donna Kopmann for the awesome cake!
Grandma kept the boys busy and soon after, Avery fell asleep.
We played a few games and were so thankful that it was a VERY nice day. We have been suffering from 100+ degree days and it only got to around 90.
When one would ask Carlyn what she'd like for her birthday, most of the time she would answer "A hula hoop." It's a miracle that she only received 1! She also got several new clothes that will be great for starting school, a few new books, some girly legos and this next pic is when she got a Cub vs. Cardinal ticket. It took a few moments for her to realize just exactly what it was.
