With the school days dwindling, the kids and I are really looking forward to summer. Carlyn has been busy with ball practice and has now started ball games, they've hatched chicks at school in an incubator. 23 chicks hatched! The boys and I headed to school to check them out they day they were hatching and we stopped in to check on them again this week to see them before they leave for the farm. Surprisingly, neither of the boys wanted to hold them. Speaking on farming, I am soo excited to do some farming of our own. I've been talking about doing a worm farm with the kids so I ordered a pound of worms today. There is an average of 500-1000 worms in one pound. I thought it would be a fun project to do this summer. Carlyn wants to use them for fishing, which is on the list of many things we are wanting to do this summer. We've planned some camping trips and I'm trying to get my spring cleaning done. Hopefully it will be done before spring is over! We need to get the baby stuff ready and do swim lessons. I am really looking forward to having them all home....as long as I can keep them from fighting! There is so much brotherly/sisterly love around here that I can hardly stand it at times, then I turn around and they are holding hands or telling each other "I love you'' before parting ways. It makes the tougher times so much easier!
Aldon only has 2 more days of school left, one of which is "water day." That is if the weather cooperates. He had Dad Day at school today. He was so excited for his dad to take him to school and stay! They played games, made homemade ice cream, made a magnet and ate lunch together. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall! He has all these squirt guns that he is waiting to use. I keep telling him, "when its warmer." He isn't the most patient person in this house so I was happy to see 80's in the forecast. Aldon is so excited for Masyn to come. He indeed will be the big helper. He talks to my belly and puts lotion on it every night. This in turn makes her kick which makes him happy.
The Bo Man has been busy too, just a different kind of busy. I swear I don't know where he gets his orneriness from! He is talking in complete sentences now and even mimics people's voices and actions. His nick name is "the enforcer." Only because he makes sure that everyone has or does things just right. What a character!
