Doggy Heaven

Yesterday we had to do one of the hardest things ever. We made the decision to put April to sleep. She was almost 12 years old. Brodie got April a few years after we started dating, so she has been part of our family forever. She moved twice with us and enjoyed licking each of the three children. She was the best. She liked to go bird hunting. She dug enormous holes in the yard and annihilated my plants. She loved the kids and enjoyed chasing cars from one side of our house to the other. You could never guess her age. Any chance she got, she would run the town and watch us chase after her. Once she was out of our yard, her ears immediately stopped working. =) Carlyn was especially fond of her and she was the same with Carlyn. She liked going to the groomers to be shaved, but got terrible gas while she was there. I don't know if the clippers made her nervous or whether she was so relaxed. So now she is in doggy heaven, feeling great and I'm sure she is digging holes all over the place.
